As Swan Lake is set in a beautiful country setting it is ideal for country walks, bike rides or to just come and relax.

Adjacent to the park lies a small country Pub and Swan Lake is situated just over a mile from the historic village of Wainfleet where you will find a number of pubs, restaurants and a variety of shops. There is a also petrol station, a bait shop and an antique shop for you to browse.

Wainfleet is home to the world-famous Bateman's Brewery where you can take a tour of the brewery and sample some of the beers brewed there! There are also a number of 'Take aways' if you do not feel like cooking.

Thorpe Culvert Railway Station is within walking distance and a ride of just one stop gets you to the popular seaside resort of Skegness where you'll find great beaches and entertainment for all the family.

Heading in the opposite direction, you can take the train to the popular market town of Boston. There you can visit the largest open air market in Lincolnshire on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You'll also find sports centres and swimming pools should you be feeling more energetic. For football enthusiasts, Boston United FC have their home in the heart of Boston.

Lincolnshire is home to many nature reserves including Gibralter Point in Skegness, Snipe Dales in Spilsby and also Freiston Shore Reserves.
